Comments

Comment (Location): INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)

Comment (Deposit): IRON OCCURS AS A MAGNETITE VEIN IN THE HANGING WALL OF A NORTH-STRIKING FAULT ZONE. SMALL OUTCROPS AND FLOAT IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY INDICATE OTHER VEINS NEARBY, BUT MAGNETIC SURVEYS OF THE AREA INDICATE THAT THEY ARE OF SMALL SIZE, GARSIDE (1973) REPORTS THE PRESENCE OF TORBERNITE AUTUNITE, AND CARNOTITE OCCURRING IN A N 56 W, 89 NE - DIPPING FAULT ZONE CUTTING PRE-JURASSIC METAMORPHIC ROCKS NEAR A GRANITE CONTACT NEAR THE MAGNETITE OCCURRENCE.
