Comments

Comment (Deposit): QUARTZ VEIN, SILICIFIED GOUGE, PART OF THE MARIE-RUBY VEIN SYSTEM OF SCHRADER (1947). VEIN IS ABOUT 4-6 FT WIDE WHERE THE INCLINE WAS SUNK. THE INCLINE FOLLOWS THE VEIN DOWN DIP AND THE ADJACENT OPEN CUT FOLLOWS THE VEIN ALONG STRIKE TO THE SE. VEIN CONSISTS OF HIGHLY SILICIFIED RHYOLITE WITH MINOR QUARTZ STRINGERS. RHYOLITE WALLROCK OF THE VEIN CONTACT IS ARGILLICALLY ALTERED AND SLICKESIDES ARE PRESENT IN GOUGE ALONG THE CONTACT. PYRARGYRITE WAS SEEN IN SPECIMENS COLLECTED AT THE SAMPLE SITE.

Comment (Workings): OPEN CUT, STOPE, ADJACENT TO INCLINE, WITH A SECOND SHAFT TO THE EAST AND PROSPECTS

Comment (Location): UTM TO SAMPLE SITE 3898 ON THE CLAIM GROUP. ACCESSIBLE ON FOOT 2.5 MILES S. OF GEIGER GAP ROAD. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)

Comment (Development): MS #3053, SURVEYED IN 1907, OWNED AT THAT TIME BY THE RUBY WONDER MINING CO., NOT PATENTED. WORKINGS APPEAR TO HAVE PRODUCED SOME ORE, BUT RECORDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. STAKED BY ERICKSON'S GROUP IN 1979; NO ACTIVITY AT TIME OF EXAMINATION IN 1986.
