Comments
Comment (Workings): PARTIALLY TIMBERED, INACCESSIBLE SHAFT AND A LINE OF PROSPECTS
Comment (Deposit): WORKINGS EXPLORE A SHEAR ALONG A CONTACT ZONE BETWEEN VOLCANICS AND OLDER (MESOZOIC?) SEDIMENTS, WALLROCK AND PORTIONS OF THE SHEAR ZONE ARE BRECCIATED. THE BRECCIA CONSISTS OF SMALL FRAGMENTS OF SEDIMENT IN A MATRIX OF SILICIFIED VOLCANICS. SOME OF THE SEDIMENTS AWAY FROM THE SHEAR ARE COATED WITH EDIDOTE. SOME SULFIDE REPLACEMENT MINERALIZATION OCCURS WITHIN THE SEDIMENTARY ROCKS. SAMPLE 3921, SELECTED FROM THE SHAFT DUMP CONSISTED OF LIGHT TO DARK GREEN OXIDES OF LEAD WITH SPECKS AND CLOTS OF GALENA IN A HIGHLY POROUS STRONGLY MN-STAINED MATRIX. SAMPLE 3920 WAS COLLECTED FROM A PROSPECT PIT SE OF THE MAIN SHAFT; THIS SAMPLE CONTAINED ONLY MINOR LEAD VALUES.
Comment (Location): ACCESSIBLE ON FOOT 2 MILES EAST OF DIXIE VALLEY ROAD. UTM IS TO SHAFT AT SAMPLE SITE 3921. UTM FOR SAMPLE SITE 3920 IS N 4366580, E 403150. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)
Comment (Development): NO ACTIVITY AT TIME OF EXAMINATION IN 1986. STAKED JAN 27, 1981 BY ERICKSON'S GROUP. ASSESSMENT WORK IS CURRENT ON CLAIMS
