Comments

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: ORE OCCURS AS PARTLY OXIDIZED BROWN CARBONATE ASSOCIATED WITH MASSIVE AND THIN-BEDDED CHERT. CHERT AND ORE APPEAR TO MAKE UP LARGE BLOCK BROKEN FROM CLIFF. SMALL VEINLETS OF RHODOCHROSITE ARE NUMEROUS. BLACK MANGANESE OXIDES ARE ON CRACKS AND SURFACES. BROWN ORE CONTAINS NUMEROUS WELL PRESERVED RADIOLARIAN TESTS SILICA REPLACED BY MANGANESE CARBONATE. BROWN AMORPHOUS MATERIAL MIXED WITH CARBONATE IS A MANGANESE BEARING OPAL.
