Comment (Deposit): THE BLACK HAWK ORE BODY WAS A LARGE REPLACEMENT DEPOSIT IN A ROOF PENDANT OF HANESTAKE LIMESTONE. THE DEPOSIT HAS BEEN DEPLETED.

Comment (Commodity): AT THE SURFACE THE ORE WAS EXTREMELY HARD AND DENSE, BUT WITH DEPTH THE ORE CHANGED TO LARGE MASSES OF SOFT GRANULAR ORE.
