Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: ANTI-HITLER IS SILICEOUS MANGANESE ORE BED IN MANGANIFEROUS CHERT ABOUT 5 FT. WIDE. ATTITUDE IS NOT EVIDENT, BUT BEDS ARE PROBABLY CLOSE TO VERTICAL AND STRIKE ABOUT N. 65 W. ORE IS BORDERED ON E. BY GREENSTONE, WHICH IS BORDERED BY SERPENTINE. TO THE W. IS 100 FT. OF BLACK TO GREEN SLATY SHALE AND SANDSTONE, BORDERED BY SERPENTINE. ORE IS MANGANESE OXIDES, MAINLY PSILOMELANE CUT BY QUARTZ VEINLETS. ANTI-MUSSOLINA IS 2 BEDS OF MANGANIFEROUS ORE SEPARATED BY 15 FT. OF WHITE CHERT. MAXIMUM THICKNESS IS 6 AND 9 FT. ENCLOSING CHERTS STRIKE N 50 TO 55 W., AND DIP 55 TO 75 N. E.
