Comment (Location): USGS MF-413, LOC. 84, 85. TAILINGS MARKED ALONG DOME CR. ON LIVENGOOD (A-2), COORDINATES GIVEN FOR DOME CAMP LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991).

Comment (Development): DRIFT MINING FROM 1905 TO 1941; DREDGING FROM 1955 TO 1959. ESSENTIALLY INACTIVE SINCE 1960.

Comment (Deposit): GOLD CONCENTRATED IN UPPER 2 MILES OF COURSE AND WITHIN 2 MILES OF MOUTH; IN THE INTERVENING 2-3 MILES GOLD CONTENT IS VERY LOW OR ABSENT. GROUND IS 30-200 FT. DEEP; PAY STREAK WAS 130-165 FT. WIDE AND ABOUT 5 FT. THICK.

Comment (Geology): BEDROCK SURFACE UNEVEN. ; MAJOR.UNITS: BEDROCK IS SCHIST. ; REG.COM: THE GOLD IN THE UPPER VALLEY APPARENTLY WAS DERIVED FROM LODE SOURCES NEAR THE PEDRO DOME PLUTON; GOLD NEAR MOUTH MAY BE RELATED TO PLACER DEPOSITS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE CHATANIKA RIVER.
