Comment (Deposit): GOLD IN STREAM PLACERS FROM HEAD TO MOUTH OF CREEK. STIBNITE HAS BEEN FOUND IN VEINS IN SCHIST AND WAS COMMON ON PILES OF DREDGE TAILINGS. ALLUVIUM 4-20 FT. THICK; COMPOSED MOSTLY OF MUCK; DEPTH TO BEDROCK AT MOUTH IS ONLY ABOUT 6 FT.

Comment (Geology): MAJOR.UNITS: BEDROCK MAINLY SCHIST; GRANITIC ROCKS NEAR HEAD. ; REG.COM: SOURCE OF GOLD IS LODE DEPOSITS ALONG BOTH SIDES AND AT HEAD OF CREEK.

Comment (Deposit): STREAM GRADIENT 200-300 FT. PER MILE. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT
