POCKET REPORTED TO HAVE YIELDED $600 IN GOLD. 2 HIGH-GRADE POCKETS WERE MINED ON 5-IN. VEIN, 1500 FT. WEST OF MAIN WORKINGS. 5 TONS OF HIGH-GRADE ORE WAS TREATED IN SMALL MILL NEAR HIGHWAY. NO SPECIFIC PRODUCTION RECORDS FOUND.

Comment (Deposit): VEINS AND STRINGERS IN 'LIME-SILICATE' ROCK AND SOME IRREGULAR POCKETS OF HIGH-GRADE GOLD ORE IN QUARTZ.

Comment (Workings): THE PRINCIPAL DEVELOPMENT WORK ON THE SUNRISE GROUP OF CLAIMS CONSISTS OF 4 TUNNELS DRIVEN WEST IN THE SHEAR ZONE ALONG A FAULT PLANE IN LIME-SILICATE ROCK. THE LOWER OR NO. 1 TUNNEL DRIVEN S. 80 DEG W., 275 FT. ABOUT 135 FT. WEST OF THE PORTAL, CROSSCUT DRIVEN S. 10 DEG W. 60 FT. AT 40 FT. IN ELEVATION ABOVE THIS TUNNEL, ANOTHER TUNNEL DRIVEN WEST 100 FT. AT 40 FT. IN ELEVATION ABOVE NO. 2 TUNNEL, NO. 3 TUNNEL DRIVEN WEST 75 FT., AND NO. 4 TUNNEL 125 FT. IN LENGTH. ABOUT 1500 FT. WEST OF THESE WORKINGS, A SHAFT HAS BEEN SUNK ON A QUARTZ VEIN 5 IN. IN WIDTH ON AN INCLINATION OF 40 DEG TO A DEPTH OF 150 FT.
