Comments

Comment (Deposit): UPPER ADIT ON RIDGE EXPLORES N50E SHEAR ZONE WHICH APPEARS TO FLATTEN AND ROLL OVER. IT IS DIPPING 70 NW AT PORTAL. ROCK IS HIGHLY SHEARED WITH IRON AND MANGANESE OXIDES ON FRACTURES. CLAY AND ALUNITE (?) OCCUR ON SOME FRACTURE SURFACES. MOST OLD ADITS TREND N30-40W, EXTENDING BACK UNDER AREA COVERED BY RHYOLITE AT SURFACE

Comment (Workings): ADITS AND PITS SHOWN ON TOPO SHEET. 3 ADITS WITH SUBSTANTIAL DUMPS, CUTS ON CREST OF RIDGE ABOVE ADITS EXPLORE DEPOSIT. OLD CABIN RUINS, MILL AND MINE PLANT REMAINS DATE BACK TO 1870'S.

Comment (Location): ON GARNER RIDGE AT HEAD OF QUEEN CANYON ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1972

Comment (Development): PRODUCED FROM 1873-?; REVIVED IN 1905, 1907. RECENT WORK (1982) HAS CONSISTED OF SAMPLING DUMPS, SOME UNDERGROUND REHABILITATION, NOT VERY EXTENSIVE
