Comment (Production): MAIN HAULAGEWAY DRIVEN 1400' DURING 1896 TO 1899. IDLE SINCE 1917.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: PROPERTY WORKED FOR GOLD IN THE GRAVELS AND FOR THE OPALS FOUND ON THE PROPERTY; HOWEVER, OPALS ARE TOO SOFT AND ARE NOT USED AS GEM STONES. PAY GRAVEL 150' WIDE AND 7' DEEP; SLIGHTLY CEMENTED. 2000' TUNNEL DRIVEN IN THE DIORITE BEDROCK UNDERNEATH THE RHYOLITIC AND ANDESITIC CAPPING TO THE CHANNEL, THAT FORMS THE CREST OF STOCKTON RIDGE. THE CHANNEL WAS DRIFTED ON FOR A DISTANCE OF 500' N AND 500' S.
