Comment (Production): SAID TO HAVE YIELDED $500,000 BY HYDRAULICKING. DRIFTING BEGUN IN MID 1876 AND REMAINED ACTIVE UNTIL 1911. WORKINGS INCLUDE A 2000' AND A 700' ADIT, A 300' CROSSCUT, SEVERAL SHORTER ADITS, AND BREASTS AS MUCH AS 14' HIGH.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: DURYEA CHANNEL COURSES THROUGH THIS PROPERTY AND TRENDS SW; IS 100' WIDE AND CONTAINS 30-40' OF ROUNDED QUARTZ GRAVEL AND CLEAN SAND OVERLAIN BY 10-20' OF COMPACT QUARTZ SAND, RHYOLITIC FLOWS AND TUFF, AND ANDESITIC TUFF AND BRECCIA. FIRST ACTIVE AS SHAW HYDRAULIC MINE FROM 1866-1871. WORKED FROM 1872-76 USING A MONITOR.
