Comment (Deposit): ORIGINAL CLAIM FILED BY BARRETT IN 1914. M.S. 2023 ISSUED IN 1914 ON 40.54 ACRES. SPORADIC STAKING ACTIVITY 1953-1976. NO ACTIVE CLAIMS 1980. THREE SHORT SHAFTS AND ONE ADIT PLUS SEVERAL TRENCHES WERE EXCAVATED BY BARRETT; ALL NOW CAVED IN. MINOR DIAMOND DRILLING BY USBM FAILED TO INTERSECT FRESH SULFIDES. DEPOSIT CONSISTS OF GOSSAN OVER SEVERAL BRECCIA OR SHEAR ZONES IN METASEDIMENTS NEAR A GRANITE CONTACT. ERYTHRITE WAS NOTED AS FINE SURFACE COATINGS ON SLATE (MALONEY, 1957).
