Comments
Comment (Production): PAST PRODUCTION--35 MT OF ORE; 17 G/MT AU, 562 G/MT AG.
Comment (Geology): GENERAL SIZE OF ORE BODY IS SMALL. OTHER TYPES OF ALTERATION ARE CHLORITIZATION, SERITIZATION CLOSE TO WALL ROCK, AND OXIDATION. STRIKE AND DIP OF MINERALIZED ZONE BASED ON MAIN VEIN. SULFIDES AND SULFOSALTS HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY LEACHED FROM THE VEIN. ORIGINAL ORE MINERALS WERE ELECTRUM AND ARGENTITE. ZPHINZ ZONE WAS DISCOVERED AS A CROSS STRUCTURE OF MAIN VEIN IN ABOUT 1982. LARGE RESERVES OF LOW-GRADE ORE REPORTED AS EXTENSIONS OF MAIN VEIN. RECENT DISCOVERY OF ORE IN THE ZPHINZ ZONE COULD ALTER ORIGINAL DEVELOPMENT PLANS.
Comment (Geology): YELLOW-GRAY CLORIDE MINERALS ARE ALSO PRESENT.
Comment (Ownership): IF OPTION AGREEMENT MET IN 1984 SPLC WILL OWN 66.6% OF THE PROPERTY AND WILL BECOME OPERATOR.
Comment (Reserve-Resource): COLUMN 2 GRADE BASED ON ASSAY OF FIRST CROSSCUT.
Comment (Deposit): THE GENERAL LOCATION IS ABOUT 60 KM SE OF FALLON. MINING METHOD IS OPEN PIT; 5 METER BENCHES. WATER IS PUMPED 12 KM FROM A WELL AT STINGAREE FLAT. THE ROAD IS 12 KM LONG FROM U.S. HIGHWAY 50. ANNUAL PROD. RATE ANTICIPATED-1.43 MT AU; 37.5 MT AG. PROCESS RATE--650 MT/D (1982 PRELIMINARY). PRODUCT TYPE--DORE BULLION (AG-AU 30:1). THE MILL IS BEING CONSTRUCTED ON SITE. MILLING METHOD--TANK CYANIDATION (CCD); ZINC PRECIPITATION, AND SMELTING. THE POWER IS DERIVED FROM CAT DIESELS. NAME ON THE NATIONAL ASSESSMENT, 1995, KNOWN DEPOSITS DATA BASE IS FAIRVIEW, #107, DEPOSIT HAS A LAT/LONG VERY CLOSE TO THE MILS LAT/LONG OF THIS MAS PROPERRTY FILE.
Comment (Geology): IN LITHOLOGY UNSPECIFIED INTRUSIVE IS CALCITE QUARTZ VEIN.
