Comment (Geology): Age = Holocene.

Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Martin and Katz, 1912

Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Martin and Katz (1912) reported that fine flour gold was present on gravel bars of the Mulchatna River above the mouth of the Koktalee (Koktuli) River. The Mulchatna River approximately coincides with a major structural boundary between mid-Cretaceous Kuskowim Group clastic rocks to the west and Mesozoic sedimentary and igneous rocks to the east (Decker and others, 1994).
