Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Placer Au-PGE (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 39a)

Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Mertie (1938, p. 91) reported that colors of gold have been found on McGeary Creek. This record represents that occurrence, at an arbitrarily chosen site along upper McGeary Creek. Bedrock in this drainage is probably mid-Cretaceous clastic sedimentary rocks of the Kuskokwim Group, perhaps locally intruded by felsic igneous rocks (Decker and others, 1994).
