Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comment (Location): In spite of the title of the 43-101 saying "Sweetwater County", this is absolutely NOT in Sweetwater County. It is Carbon County. The word Sweetwater appears in the title only. Clearly this is an error. All the maps, figures, text say Carbon County.
Comment (Location): The Red Rim Claim Map, Figure 5, was provided by EMC and represents the approximate location of unpatented mining lode claims held by EMC. The mining claims are unpatented mining lode claims, comprise some 1,000 acres and are located on federal lands. The claims located and controlled by EMC are referred to as SC claims 1 through 35. The claims were located by EMC and are not known to have any encumbrances or royalties. EMC also acquired an additional 18 claims, referred to as the F Claims F336 through F353. These mining lode claims will remain the property of EMC provided they adhere to required filing and annual payment requirements with Carbon County and the US BLM. Legal surveys of unpatented claims are not required and to the author?s knowledge have not been completed. (43-101, p. 8 of 46)
