Comments
The Alder, or Tennessee Gulch district, is about 10 miles south of Rowland. Most prospecting has been in T46N, R56E. The original district included both Tennessee Gulch and Lost Gulch placer areas. Tungsten deposits on the upper slopes of Tennessee Mountain are considered to be in the Alder district, but prospects on the lower slopes of Tennessee Mountain are in the adjacent Island Mountain district.
