Up To Date Mining Co. at Caribou, Colorado ca. 1912
The only mention I could find of the Up To Date Mine was from a 1912 newspaper which stated: "It is claimed by some that the property of the Up To Date Mining Company at Caribou camp in Boulder county is, for the amount of development done, the best in the state. Some, more conservative, say it is without an equal in the county, which, however, amounts to the same thing." A USGS listing states that the mine was mostly exploratory, and had little production, according to data published in 1917. It seems the owners were primarily running a promotional scheme.
