Abe Sower Store - Austin, Nevada
Abe Sower was an early pioneer of the Austin district. He was a partner in the firm of Sower & Weller, a business I have found referenced in an October 1877 newspaper article. Sower died in San Francisco in May 1887. Although the University of Nevada, Reno dates this photograph to July 1887, it seems more likely that it was taken at least several years earlier.
