The Unnamed (near Devilfish Bay) is a uranium, molybdenum, and copper mine located in Alaska.
About the MRDS Data:
All mine locations were obtained from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System. The locations and other information in this database have not been verified for accuracy. It should be assumed that all mines are on private property.

MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = Only work noted in 1975 was a single, hand-dug pit; little indication of any work since. But see PE053 for several blocks of claims staked around this prospect and active through at least 1981.
Comment (Production): Production Notes = None
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Herreid and Kaufman, 1964
Comment (Reserve-Resource): Reserves = None
Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Cu-Mo skarn with uranium?(Cox and Singer, 1986; model 18b)
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Magnetite, chalcopyrite, and minor molybdenite occur in tactite at contact between a Cretaceous quartz monzonite pluton and Cretaceous hornfels formed from calcareous graywacke of the Silurian Bay of Pillars Formation (Herreid and Kaufman, 1964, p. 4; Eakins, 1975, p. 54-57; and Brew and others, 1984). One sample of the tactite contained 8 ppm equivalent uranium.
Comment (Commodity): Gangue = Calcsilicate minerals in tactite
Comment (Exploration): Status = Probably inactive
Comment (Geology): Age = Related to intrusion of Cretaceous quartz monzonite pluton.
