Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = A few small apparently barren quartz veins and auriferous granite dikes cut slate and graywacke of the Cretaceous Valdez Group (Cobb, 1979, OFR 80-87). A sample of granite assayed $1.80 gold per ton, at $20.67 per ounce gold (Grant and Higgins, 1910).
