Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = The country rocks in the area of this prospect are Lower Paleozoic to possibly Upper Precambrian Birch Creek Schist. Lower Tertiary and Upper Cretaceous intrusive rocks occur 1.2 miles southwest of the prospect. The deposit is in Birch Creek Schist and consists of quartz veins and pods containing pyrite, stibnite, galena, and sphalerite (Joesting, 1943).
