Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Wickersham Creek drains an area of Lower Tertiary granodiorite and granite that cuts Lower Cretaceous and Upper Jurassic deformed and metamorphosed flysch (Wilson and others, 1998). The placer gold was probably derived from the erosion of nearby lode deposits (HE171, HE172, and HE173).
