Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Country rock is greenstone and silicified rhyolite of Jurassic to Permian age. A vertical zone about 3 ft wide contains disseminations and small masses of arsenopyrite, pyrite, sphalerite and galena. In addition, a 2 inch wide calcite vein found within a zone of rusty gouge contains disseminated sphalerite, galena, and chalcopyrite (Landes, 1927).
