The Pierson is a silver and gold mine located in Alaska.
About the MRDS Data:
All mine locations were obtained from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System. The locations and other information in this database have not been verified for accuracy. It should be assumed that all mines are on private property.
Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = Grab sample assayed (MacKevett, 1976): 0.1 ppm Au (AA), 1.5 ppm Ag, 1,000 ppm As, 200 ppm Cu, 700 ppm Zn. Type of workings: surface.
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Moffit and Mertie, 1923
Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Lode: disseminated, shear zone
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Malachite-stained shear zone contains pyrite, chalcopyrite, and free gold. Shear zone, 1 m wide, occurs between Triassic Nikolai Greenstone and a brecciated latite dike, about 9 m thick, that intrudes along the contact of the Nikolai Greenstone and the Triassic Chitistone Limestone.
Comment (Commodity): Ore Material = Gold (native)
Comment (Exploration): Status = Inactive
