Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Grybeck, 1977
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Limited information described this occurrence only as sphalerite in a boxwork of veinlets found in float (DeYoung, 1978). The area is is mapped as peraluminous biotite-muscovite granite of the Baby Creek batholith. It is a few miles northeast of the Geroe Creek porphyry Cu-Mo property (CH053) and adjoins an unidentified large claim block (U.S. Bureau of Mines, 1973) that is immediately northeast of the Geroe Creek prospect. There is no other information available on this prospect.
