Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Menzie and others, 1985
Comment (Deposit): Other Comments = Described as being a stratabound vein in Menzie and others (1985); USGS field station 76ARR408.
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Occurrence is described only as black chert, at the contact between Devonian Skajit Limestone and overlying Beaucoup Formation, that contains a pyrite- and chalcopyrite-bearing quartz vein (Menzie and others, 1985). USBM information from a location thought to correspond to this prospect suggests galena is also present (Barker, 1978). No other descriptive information is available.
Comment (Exploration): Status = Inactive
