Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Placer Au-PGE (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 39a).
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Very little is known about mining here other than some took place in 1906 below Shea Creek, a small south tributary (Collier and others, 1908). Bedrock in this part of the drainage is a metavolcanic assemblage thought to be Ordovician in age (Till and others, 1986).
