Comment (Commodity): VEINS PROBABLY CONTAIN AU, BUT NO ASSAY WAS MADE.

Comment (Development): DISCOVERED DURING FIELD WORK FOR USGS B 1058-E

Comment (Deposit): FISSURE-TYPE QUARTZ VEINS NEAR SMALL DIORITE BODY ON TOP OF MINE MTN. CONTAIN PYRITE, CHALCOPYRITE, SPHALERITE, AND GALENA. PROBABLY CONTAINS GOLD BECAUSE OF PRESENCE OF SPHALERITE AND GALENA, WHICH ARE INDICATORS.

Comment (Geology): NEAR CONTACT OF CRET-JUR DIORITE AND PAL (?) METAMORPHIC ROCKS.

Comment (Deposit): SPHALERITE AND GALENA EXCELLENT INDICATORS OF GOLD IN THIS AREA. MINERALIZED ZONE IN HEADWATERS AREA OF SALTERY RIVER CONTAINS 0.01 OZ/TON AU, BUT LOCATION COULD NOT ACCURATELY BE DETERMINED FROM INFORMATION GIVEN. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
