Comment (Development): SMALL SCALE MINING, 1912. USGS TRENCHING AND TEST PITTING IN 1942 FOUND NO CINNABAR IN BEDROCK AND SMALL AMOUNTS IN GRAVEL.
Comment (Deposit): PLACER GOLD AND CINNABAR RECOVERED NEAR MOUTH.
Comment (Geology): MAJOR.UNITS: BEDROCK IS SCHIST FROM MOUTH UPSTREAM FOR 1,500 FT; NEXT 6,000 FT. IS TERTIARY CONGLOMERATE AND SANDSTONE.
