LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991).

Comment (Deposit): THIS SITE NAME WAS CREATED BY THE REPORTER OR OTHER USGS EMPLOYEE BASED ON PROXIMITY TO SOME MAJOR GEOGRAPHIC FEATURE.

Comment (Development): INTERMITTANT MINING REPORTED 1910-34. MINED BY OPEN CUT. CREEK MINED OUT BY 1936

Comment (Deposit): GOLD IN CREVICES IN DECOMPOSED BEDROCK AND IN GRAVEL JUST ABOVE BEDROCK. OVERBURDEN 6-12 FEET THICK; 5-10 FEET OF GRAVEL OVERLAIN BY 1-2 FT. OF MUCK. QUARTZ VEINS CONTAIN FREE GOLD.
