Comment (Location): USGS MF-371, LOC. 3. DEPOSIT ABOUT 1 MILE NORTH AND 300-400 FT. ABOVE YUKON RIVER ON SLOPE WEST OF QUARTZ CREEK. LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991).
Comment (Development): ADIT DRIVEN IN ABOUT 1915, BUT SOON ABANDONED; NO PRODUCTION.
Comment (Deposit): 10 FT. WIDE STOCKWORK OF ARGENTIFEROUS GALENA VEINS IN LIMESTONE; SOME GALENA VEINS AS MUCH AS SEVERAL INCHES ACCROSS. SAID TO CARRY GOLD AND SILVER.
Comment (Geology): QUARTZ VEINS SEPERATE SOME GALENA VEINS; EUHEDRAL QUARTZ CRYSTALS EMBEDDED IN GALENA. NO KNOWN NEARBY INTRUSIVE ROCKS.
Comment (Deposit): THIS SITE NAME WAS CREATED BY THE REPORTER OR OTHER USGS EMPLOYEE BASED ON PROXIMITY TO SOME MAJOR GEOGRAPHIC FEATURE.
