Comment (Deposit): SCHEELITE IN QUARTZ-SCHEELITE STRINGERS AND IN THIN ZONES IN SCHIST IN CONTACT WITH THE QUARTZ STRINGERS. NO TACTITE DEVELOPED. DEPOSIT ALONG WESTERN PERIPHERY OF A LARGE MASS OF PORPHYRITIC GRANITE.
Comment (Workings): WORKINGS ALL CAVED BY 1942.
Comment (Geology): BEDROCK INTRUDED BY A PORPHYRITIC GRANITE DIKE. DIKE VISIBLE IN BOTTOM OF SHAFT. ANOTHER SHAFT 20 FT. DEEP OPENED A SCHEELITE LODE 3-4 FT. THICK.
Comment (Location): USGS MF-410, LOC. 27. DEPOSIT AT THE EXTREME HEAD OF ENGINEER CREEK, ON RIDGE BETWEEN STEELE AND FIRST CHANCE CREEKS. LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991). 1:250000 QUADRANGLE IS A 1956 VERSION.
