Comment (Geology): SCHEELITE LODE CUT BY 1 FT. QUARTZ VEIN. DEPOSIT ALONG WESTERN PERIPHERY OF LARGE MASS OF PORPHYRITIC GRANITE.
Comment (Location): USGS MF-410, LOC. 29. DEPOSIT AT THE HEAD OF STEELE CREEK, SE OF SPRUCE HEN GROUP. LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991).
Comment (Development): PROSPECTED BY A 130 FT. LONG TUNNEL. IN 1916 AN ADIT WAS DRIVEN 80 FT. AND A SMALL MINING PLANT WAS INSTALLED; NO PRODUCTION REPORTED.
Comment (Deposit): LODE IS SCHIST CONTAINING A 3 FT. ZONE OF SCHEELITE-BEARING STRINGERS WITH PORPHYRITIC GRANITE HANGING WALL.
