Comment (Location): USGS MF-410, LOC. 63. PLACER DEPOSITS ALL IN LOWER MILE OF COURSE ABOVE CONFLUENCE WITH MOOSE CREEK. COORDINATES GIVEN FOR CENTER OF PLACER GROUND. LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991).
Comment (Development): MINING REPORTED IN 1916 AND 1937; THOUGHT TO BE CARRIED ON IN OTHER YEARS AS WELL.
Comment (Deposit): GOLD IN BASAL 2-4 FT. OF GRAVEL IN MILE OF STREAM COURSE ABOVE CONFLUENCE WITH MOOSE CREEK.
Comment (Geology): HIGH GRAVELS ON DIVIDES AND INTERTRIBUTARY RIDGES. SULFIDE MINERALIZATION HAS BEEN FOUND NEAR DIVIDE BETWEEN LITTLE MOOSE AND EVA CREEKS. ; MAJOR.UNITS: BEDROCK IS SCHIST. ; REG.COM: SOURCE OF GOLD PROBABLY MINERALIZED ZONES (SUCH AS DIVIDE BETWEEN EVA AND MOOSE CREEKS) IN SCHIST, RATHER THAN HIGH GRAVELS.
