LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991).
Comment (Development): INTERMITTANT MINING, 1905 TO 1940. MINING BY OPEN CUTS. A FEW MILES OF DITCHES BUILT.
Comment (Deposit): GOLD IN BASAL 2 FT. OF STREAM GRAVELS. THICKNESS OF GRAVELS MINED RANGES FROM A FEW INCHES TO 6 FT. GOLD ALSO ON SURFACE OF CLAY BEDROCK. MOST OF MINING IN LOWER MILE OF CREEK; ALSO IN MIDDLE SECTION OF TRIBUTARY ENTERING FROM SE NEAR MOUTH AND IN SPOTS NEAR HEAD. IN LOWER MILE PAY STREAK 25-75 FT. WIDE, BUT OUTSIDE 25 FT. IS REPORTED TO BE PATCHY.
