Comments
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = Stream gravels were mined by hand methods in 1909 (Capps, 1912).
Comment (Exploration): Status = Inactive
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Capps, 1912
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Capps (1912), reported that two men made wages mining stream gravels in 1909 but did not return in 1910. Teritary gravel forms the bedrock in the headwaters of the creek; schist occurs in the lower part (Capps, 1912, p. 52).
Comment (Production): Production Notes = Capps (1912) reported that two men made wages mining stream gravels in 1909 but the amount of production is not known.
Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Placer Au (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 39a)
Comment (Geology): Age = Quaternary placer.
