Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = A short tunnel was excavated in the mineralized schist (Smith, 1913; B 525).
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Mineralized schist, opened by a short tunnel, carries 0.2 ounces of gold per ton and 60 ounces of silver per ton (Smith, 1913; B 525). Quartz stringers carry gold, but no silver. Bedrock is mainly schist (Cobb, 1976; OFR 76-633).
