Comment (Development): MINING FROM 1916 TO 1940'S; SMALL SCALE MINING AT VARIOUS TIMES IN THE 1960'S AND 1970'S. MINED BY OPEN-CUT, SLUICING, AND DRIFTING. MINED IN 1975 BY BULLDOZER.
Comment (Geology): BEDROCK APPEARS TO DIP AWAY FROM THE CREEK ON EACH SIDE, SO THAT THERE ARE TWO DEEPER AURIFEROUS CHANNELS. SUPERPOSITION OF DRAINAGE DUE TO SILTING HAS OCCURRED ON THE TRIBUTARIES OF LIVENGOOD CR., AS WELL AS ON THE MAIN STREAM. ; MAJOR.UNITS: BEDROCK IS A MIXTURE OF MANY KINDS OF DEVONIAN SEDIMENTARY ROCKS (INCLUDING MUCH BLACK CRYSTALINE LIMESTONE) AND A VARIETY OF INTRUSIVE ROCKS; BEDROCK MUCH SEAMED WITH CALCITE AND QUARTZ.
