Comment (Location): USGS MF-405, LOC. 17, 20. ONLY GOOD PROSPECTS ON BENCH ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF CREEK BETWEEN GOLD RUN AND ELDORADO CREEKS. COORDINATES GIVEN FOR LOCATION 17, NEAR MOUTH OF GOLD RUN. LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991).
Comment (Development): NO MINING REPORTED. IN 1911, 40 FT.2 OF BEDROCK PROSPECTED BY A CROSSCUT AT A DEPTH OF 60 FT. RETURNED $1 PER FT.2 OF BEDROCK (GOLD AT $20.67). OTHER PROSPECTING WAS LESS SUCCESSFUL.
Comment (Deposit): GOLD PROSPECTS DISCOVERED IN 1911 PROVED TO BE OF LOW GRADE AND SMALL EXTENT. SOME CASSITERITE IN HEADWATER TRIBUTANES, BUT NOT IN SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS.
Comment (Workings): WORKINGS INCLUDED A SHAFT 40 FT. DEEP AND A CROSSCUT 100 FT. LONG.
Comment (Geology): CREEK DRAINS CONTACT ZONE OF A GRANITE BODY. ; MAJOR.UNITS: BEDROCK AT ONE LOCALITY IN HEADWATER SECTION OF CREEK REPORTED TO BE QUARTZITE.
