Comment (Development): Gold Discovered In 1920; Pay Streak Located In 1931. Mining Reported 1929-39. Mined Primarily By Drifting; One Open Cut Mining Operation Reported.
Comment (Deposit): Gold Found In The Uppermost 12 To 18 Inches Of Decomposed Bedrock, Particularly Where Overlying Gravel Is Either Scarce Or Absent. Gold In Old Channels On Bench Along The SE Side Of Valley About 300 Feet From Moose Creek. Ground Deep; 55 Ft. On One Claim. Pay Streak 50-60 Ft. Wide; Ran About $.40 Per Ft2 Of Bedrock; Some Rich Spots Ran $3-$5 Per Ft2 (Au At $20.67 Oz). Old Bedrock Channels Under SE Valley Slope Are Not Related To Present Stream Course.
