Comment (Location): DEPOSIT ON ONE OF THE LOWER TERRACES ACROSS AND A FEW MILES UPSTREAM FROM RUBY. LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991).
Comment (Development): CLAIMS STAKED IN 1911-15 APPARENTLY RESULTED IN THE DISCOVERY OF NO MINABLE GROUND. LATE IN THE SUMMER OF 1915 THERE WAS A STAMPEDE FROM RUBY.
Comment (Workings): WORK IN 1911 AND 1915 ON GRAVEL DEPOSITS NORTH OF THE YUKON R.
Comment (Geology): CREEK DRAINS A GRANITE BODY IN CONTACT WITH MAFIC ROCKS, LIMESTONE, AND SCHIST; A POTENTIALLY FAVORABLE SETTING FOR A MINERALIZED ZONE.
Comment (Deposit): THIS SITE NAME WAS CREATED BY THE REPORTER OR OTHER USGS EMPLOYEE BASED ON PROXIMITY TO SOME MAJOR GEOGRAPHIC FEATURE.
Comment (Deposit): GOLD BEARING GRAVELS BENEATH 20 OR MORE FEET OF CLEAN WHITE QUARTZ BOULDERS OVERLAIN BY SEVERAL FEET OF FINE SEDIMENT OR MUCK.
