Comment (Location): USGS MF-448, LOC. 1. DEPOSIT ON HILL WEST OF WESLEY CREEK. LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991).

Comment (Development): SHALLOW PROSPECT PIT SUNK ON STRINGERS; EXPOSURES NOT ENCOURAGING. ASBESTOS AND JADE DEPOSITS WERE INVESTIGATED BY THE U.S.B.M. IN 1944 AND/OR 1945.

Comment (Deposit): THIS SITE NAME WAS CREATED BY THE REPORTER OR OTHER USGS EMPLOYEE BASED ON PROXIMITY TO SOME MAJOR GEOGRAPHIC FEATURE.

Comment (Geology): DOLOMITE IS BRECCIATED.

Comment (Deposit): QUARTZ VEINS IN DOLOMITE WEST OF CREEK CONTAIN A LITTLE GALENA. FINE GOLD IN UNMINABLE CONCENTRATIONS SAID TO HAVE BEEN FOUND IN CREEK GRAVELS; NO SHAFTS REACHED BEDROCK. TREMOLITE ASBESTOS AND GEM-QUALITY NEPHRITE JADE FOUND NEAR HEAD OF CREEK.
