Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = Six samples collected showed very low silver, gold, copper, and molybdenum, probably not much above background.
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Christie, 1974
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Small color anomaly in Unalaska Formation (see Drewes and others, 1961) at contact with porphyritic diorite. Diorite has miarolitic cavities and contains less than 0.5 percent pyrite and abundant magnetite. Christie (1974) reports this as a small system, yet in notes indicates it is a 1 mile (1.6 km) by 0.5 mile (800 m) northeast trending zone.
Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Copper porphyry(?) or epithermal vein(?)
Comment (Deposit): Model Number = 17, 25
Comment (Exploration): Status = Inactive
Comment (Geology): Age = Cenozoic
