The Miller is a gold mine located in Alaska.
About the MRDS Data:
All mine locations were obtained from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System. The locations and other information in this database have not been verified for accuracy. It should be assumed that all mines are on private property.
Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Capps, 1915
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = Developments include two cabins and a tunnel driven 30 ft along the altered alaskite dike. Capps (1915) reports that only assessment work has been done and no value for the ore can be determined because assays are said to have given conflicting returns.
Comment (Commodity): Ore Material = unidentified sulfides
Comment (Commodity): Ore Material = unidentified sulfides
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = An altered alaskite dike cuts Jurassic amphibolite and foliated quartz diorite containing local, minor quartz-feldspar gneiss. Locally this dike has been called a vein, and it was only after thin-section analysis was it discovered to be a dike. The 'ore' is white to greenish-gray in color and in places contains considerable sulfides. The dike is not well defined, and little of it is exposed (Capps, 1915).
Comment (Exploration): Status = Inactive
Comment (Geology): Age = Jurassic or younger; dike is in Jurassic metamorphic rocks.
