The Unnamed is a zinc mine located in Alaska.
About the MRDS Data:
All mine locations were obtained from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System. The locations and other information in this database have not been verified for accuracy. It should be assumed that all mines are on private property.
Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Geology): Age = The volcanic rocks here are mapped as part of a mid-Cretaceous assemblage but the age of mineralization could be Cretaceous or Tertiary, the age of volcanic and related hypabyssal intrusive rocks on western St. Lawrence Island (Patton and Csejtey, 1980).
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = A single rock sample contained 700 ppm zinc (Patton and Csejtey, 1971, p. C8, C15).
Comment (Exploration): Status = Inactive
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Patton and Csejtey, 1971 (PP 684-C)
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Silicified, fine-grained volcanic rock exposed in the streambed contains pyrite and one rock sample contained 700 ppm zinc (Patton and Csejtey, 1971, p. C8, C15).
Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Polymetallic(?) sulfide mineralization in altered volcanic rocks. Deposit model 22c (?); polymetallic veins
