Comment (Location): THIS SMALL MINE ON NORTHWESTERN WOEWODSKI ISLAND IS ABOUT 300 YARDS FROM THE SHORELINE ALONG THE TRAIL THAT GOES FROM SALTWATER TO THE HARVEY LAKE FOREST SERVICE CABIN. LOCALITY 34 OF GRYBECK, BERG, AND KARL (1984).
Comment (Workings): OLD PROSPECT ALONG THE CREEK SAID HAVE BEEN WORKED DURING THE DEPRESSION IN THE 1930'S; A SMALL PELTON WHEEL AND HAMMER MILL STILL REMAINED AT THE SITE IN THE EARLY 1980'S.
Comment (Production): PRODUCTION UNCERTAIN BUT PROBABLY A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF GOLD RECOVERED DURING THE 1930'S.
Comment (Deposit): SEVERAL NARROW QUARTZ VEINS WITH RARE DISSEMINATED PYRITE AND ARSENOPYRITE CUT LIGHT GREENISH GRAY, FELSIC METATUFF. SAID TO HAVE BEEN WORKED IN A SMALL WAY DURING THE DEPRESSION IN THE 1930'S (GRYBECK, BERG, AND KARL, 1984).
