MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Production): TUNGSTEN ORE VALUED AT $73,000 WAS SHIPPED BETWEEN 1942-1944
Comment (Geology): ORE IN QUARTZ VEINS WITH A LITTLE CALCITE, AND IN DISCONTINUOUS STOCKWORKS OF QUARTZ IN THE BRECCIA ZONES THE LARGEST VEIN, THE CHIHUAHUA WAS UP TO 15 FEET WIDE, MORE THAN 1000 FEET LONG; THE LARGEST STOCKWORK MINED WAS 150 FEET LONG, 50 FEET WIDE, AND 50 FEET HIGH. THE SCHEELITE IS RESTRICTED, MOSTLY TO THE STOCKWORKS
Comment (Deposit): NEAR THE VEINS THE LIMESTONE IS HIGHLY SILICIFIED. THE LARGEST VEIN,THE CHIHUAHUA, WAS MINED ABOVE AND BELOW ADITS ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH SIDES OF MINING CANYON. IT IS AS MUCH AS 15 FT WIDE. BOTH THE SULFIDE MINERALS AND THE SCHEELITE OCCUR IN THE QUARTZ AND IN THE SILICIFIED LIMESTONE AS VEINS OR SMALL IRREGULAR REPLACEMENT BODIES, BUT SCHEELITE ORE IS RESTRICTED ALMOST ENTIRELY TO THE STOCK WORK, WHERE IT IS COMMONLY ADJACENT TO, BUT NOT MIXED WITH, THE LEAD SILVER ORE. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
