Comment (Production): THE TOTAL PRODCUTION IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN ABOUT $221,000 IN GOLD. THE TONNAGE FIGURES FOR THE ORE ARE NOT AVAILABLE

Comment (Deposit): THE DEPOSIT IS IN THE 'GREAT BLUE' LIMESTONES, BENEATH THE LONG TRAIL SHALE MEMBER. THE ORE OCCURS AT TWO HORIZONS, APPROXIMATELY 150 FT. APART STRATIGRAPHICALLY, EACH BELOW A CARBONACEOUS SHALY ZONE.

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS ARE BADLY CAVED AND IN ACCESSIBLE. THEY ARE DEVELOPED BY AN INCLINE TRENDING N75E AND HAVING A SLOPE OF 32 DEG. WITH THE BEDDING; DRIFTS FOLLOW FISSURES TRENDING N45W; ONE VERTICAL SHAFT OF 50 FT. BADLY CAVED; SEVERAL SMALL PITS AND TRENCHES.

Comment (Geology): THE OXIDIZED ORE IS LIGHT COLORED AND MORE FRIABLE THAN THE UNOXIDIZED (BASIC) ORE. IT LACKS SULFIDES AND CONTAINS SULFATES, INCLUDING GYPSUM, JAROSITE, SCORODITE, AND MELANTERITE

Comment (Deposit): GOLD IS NOT VISIBLE IN THE ORES, AND IS CONCENTRATED IN THE CARBON-RICH PORTIONS OF THE JASPEROID ZONES, MANY LIMESTONE BEDS ARE SILICIFIED TO JASPEROID. SHALES ARE LESS ALTERED AND SHOW LITTLE SERICITIZATION. THE ORE SHOOTS FOLLOW APPROXIMATELY THE INTERSECTION OF THE FISSURES WITH THE ORE BEDS ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
